Is it possible that the village location can change? I've noticed that the 2 villagers I've found will only motion around newly built homes which are nearly l block's away. I built the homes as the last ii villagers would not get back to the village, if I build more homes with doors will more villagers spawn ? In the wiki it talks virtually doors being the primal to new villagers.

Yes, if you built more than houses, the villagers will breed and more will spawn. Information technology is possible to create entire villages by kidnapping them, and dropping them off to where you please.

Okay so after reading some posts I think I will articulate some things up.
1) Villager population max is about thirty, non plenty for a viable golem farm
-I congenital a subcontract like to what I did on pc, later placing 30 eggs it would not let me place anymore
2) Definition of a "house" is simply a door with a block on top of information technology (well basically) then if you lot just place a agglomeration of doors with blocks on top, not straight adjacent to walls, it will count every bit a door
3) The rate at which villagers spawn is dependant on doors. Villagers volition breed until the amount of villagers is equal to one-third the amount of doors inside the hamlet radius.
4) To become a mob into a minecart, only push the minecart into the mob.
5) Gold apples was a ane.4 update, and the panel is currently in one.2 (with item frames).
I'm certain some of this was answered. Most of my experience comes from over a yr on minecraft pc, in which my favorite thing to practice was build farms. Sadly, mob farms suck on the console due to hardware limiting the spawn rate of mobs.

Sadly, I do not accept recording software and do not produce vids. If y'all hop on youtube, I'd suggest that docm's tutorial is pretty detailed - the guy seems to do his research earlier posting a how-to, and is more than focused on a elementary-withal-effective design than annihilation else:
I've built a spawning-cell along similar lines and I retrieve you should find what you need in that location. One key notation here is that the needed villager-count in the wiki is 10, but if you lot read the version-history you'll see that our older version (that'due south on console) requires 16.
Yup. They can 'find' a door inside 16 blocks horizontally and roughly 2 upwardly/down. This ordinarily gets added into whatsoever village they vest to, changing the village-centre. And so a problems in their wandering routine volition often have them crowd a single home. If you lot want those 2 to go 'habitation', you should create a new house ~15 blocks from their favorite, expect for them to be between the two, and destroy the one that's farther from town. Repeat as needed.
Every bit long every bit those ii villagers are hanging out together when they enter 'honey style', they'll give you a baby villager. They'll do this as long every bit you have less villagers than your number of doors divided by iii (roughly). It'due south an odd thing, but you 'feed' villagers to go them into dear-mode by edifice doors. For best results, pen your villagers in a mid-sized building, and wallpaper the outside in doors (or wait up how to build an space breeding cell afterwards you lot get a third villager...).

Thanks, I seen this video besides before. Looks really practiced and effective, just a tad too big for me. I found my problem tho. I only had fourteen villagers and then I permit a couple out and the remaining started spawning over again. Information technology looks like a mess right now only I'm finally getting golems in my trap.

If it makes yous experience better, the commencement spawning-prison cell I congenital was a indistinguishable of ane I did on PC - then it didn't work because it had the minimum 10 villagers for PC edition. < shrugs >
I also tend to build smaller than docm'due south design. The golems are merely supposed to spawn in a 8x8 area around the central betoken of the village, and so a cell that'due south just 10x10 inside should hands encompass that area. If you're doing that, I suggest putting one-half-slabs everywhere to prevent the golems spawning where not wanted if something tweaks the village heart somehow.
With only 21 doors required to go golems, I have a blueprint that'southward essentially a xiv-broad square with 12 doors on two opposite sides and individually-penned villagers on the other 2 sides then that they remain viable for trading (fingers crossed for next update on trading). On PC, that evolved into surrounding the spawning-prison cell with doors, those volition a row of drinking glass, and and so building a prison exterior that and then there's trades all the way around. The glass keeps the doors as viable houses even though the villagers can never accomplish them, and the celled villagers provide trades whilst keeping the doors active as part of the village..

So can you Spawn Villagers or not with the PS3 version???? and if so how???
I take read each post merely it's going back and forth "yes yous tin" "no y'all can't" or "I'thousand non sure" and so which is it????
And and so it starts to confuse me because where I thought you all were talking nigh Spawning Villagers, you go into talking nearly spawning golems @[email protected]
I just need to know about Spawning Villagers so can someone shade some light on this for me? Thank you

Not true, I accept four pods with viii villagers each. There are too 2 in my mob sorters, and several running around in the naturally occurring villages. I'm non sure what the max is, but information technology isn't 30. It might be they demand to be spread across more than than 1 clamper?
They practice not spawn on their own later on the world has been generated. If all your villagers died, y'all must either bring them from another village to repopulate, or use creative to spawn them from eggs.

Well that sucks; for I have a personal map I use merely it's on survival/difficult and I never looked effectually for any village with villagers and by now they are probably already dead so I was hoping if I fine ane and fix it up they would start to spawn but ooo well thanks for the info.

You lot tin play a joke on villagers into breeding. Yous demand at least two to start with and you basically offset building houses effectually them. When the village gets big enough, the game spawns atomic number 26 golems to protect the villagers. Some of us built farms specifically for the purpose of getting iron from the golems.
If you need more villagers, you would have to steal them from some other village. Brand sure you take enough track (and patience) to transport them.

I have platinum already so awards aren't the problem but IF they get the leader boards recording progress correctly I would want my main world to be eligible. lol btw if you desire fall distance jumpstack to the sky limit, put a bed, sleep, and spring off... pitiful just effective.... oasis't tried information technology all the same but a condom band on a joystick overnight or ps button freeze might work

Adept news! If at that place are villages in your world yous oasis't been near yet, the villagers will be fine. Monsters but spawn within like 128 blocks from yous, so zombies wont kill them.

I built this atomic number 26 golem farm:
(Without the hoppers, of course) on my PS3 world, and it works great. As long as you do accept villagers available (deplorable guys who lost all of their villagers) this definitely works on the PS3. If anyone is interested in seeing information technology in activeness, feel free to ship me a friend asking with 'iron golem' in the message and I'll show you around my world sometime.

You can cure zombie villagers... Merely throw them with a splash potion of weakness and feed them a golden apple tree, it takes ip to v minutes, I have tried this and it does work
